Business Unit Manager - Montana

Overview:

We are looking to add a Business Unit Manager to our location in Kalispell, MT. If you are someone who grew up coloring outside the lines and now are a leader that seeks innovative strategies that aren’t on the beaten path, then this could be what you’ve been looking for. This position is a mixture of partnership building with state authorities, driving business growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and building a team around you to help you along the journey. The role has not yet existed, so you will be the captain of the ship, your crew-mates, but they will be your go-to people as we look to expand our vehicle product line and features. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires working in our local office in Kalispell, MT and some periodic travel as needed. There is the potential to work from home occasionally.

Wage:

$125,000 - $150,000/year DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the Montana group, leveraging innovation and market insights to drive success.
  • Take complete ownership of the division's P&L and strategy, including pricing, marketing, staffing, operational needs, and performance, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including state filings, vehicle titling and renewals, to ensure efficiency, compliance, and excellence.
  • Implement robust processes and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and drive results.
  • Lead the client experience and customer service efforts, prioritizing responsiveness, reliability, and excellence in service delivery.
  • Take personal accountability for ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Build strategic partnerships with state authorities and key stakeholders to facilitate operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Champion the division's interests and establish a strong corporate presence within the state and industry.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding the vehicle titling product line and enhancing features to meet market demands.
  • Collaborate closely with the product development team to innovate and bring new offerings to market successfully.
  • Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and empower team members to excel in their roles.
  • Work in a local office as needed, with periodic visits/travel as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience, with a track record of driving success in new divisions or initiatives.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a field involving Vehicle Titling, Licensing, or Insurance, Registered Agent Services, Business Formation Services, Business Law, or a related field.
  • Experience leading and growing a business or division with revenue over $20 million annually.
  • Experience leading teams of over 75 people with the ability to set clear expectations, provide guidance, and motivate cross-functional team leaders.
  • Prior P&L/budget and reporting accountability with the ability to build and monitor metrics and projections and use data-driven insights to inform and optimize strategies.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with exposure to website and software development.
  • Adaptable and willing to flex with changes, promote positive change management, and help drive company initiatives.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A high threshold for navigating ambiguity with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
