Data Analyst

Overview:

Corporate Tools in Post Falls, ID is looking to add another analytical and business savvy mind to the finance team. If you’ve had experience doing big data dives for operational improvement, we’re interested in talking to you!

Our Data Analysts live and breathe all things data, and that’s the way we like it. As a Data Analyst at Corporate Tools, you will be a main contact for providing the company with insights to help steer the business as we continue to grow. This position requires curiosity, a strong desire to dig into the little details to find the data gems, and the business acumen to drive the business to success. This position is coded as “Hybrid” which means after initial training and on-boarding which will take place in office, occasional remote work is available. However, this role will be expected to continue to work in our Post Falls, Idaho office 2-3 days/week.

Wage:

$70,000 - $95,000 depending on meeting requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders to help inform business decisions
  • Identifies problems or needed changes, recommends resolution, and participates in quality improvement efforts
  • Collaborates with the analytics team to plan and scale analytics, working to harvest and grow the data culture across the company
  • Consults stakeholders in the development of KPIs, ad hoc analyses, and automated reporting to best fit their needs and act as a leader in promoting data literacy
  • Builds and maintains snowflake schemas designed to improve reporting and analysis by cleaning and transforming transactional data using DBT modelling
  • Supports the company with innovative efforts by using trends and predictive analyses to inform recommendations to the company
  • Extracts data from relational databases using PostgreSQL to structure data for analysis and automated reporting
  • Organizes and prioritizes tickets using Jira and Confluence
  • Designs, builds, and maintains dashboards for the business using our business intelligence program, Metabase

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in an analyst role, data analyst experience preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complicated information to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s (BA or BS) in business, accounting, or related field, or relevant experience
  • Experience using SQL to extract data from relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, T-SQL, etc.)
  • Experience extracting meaning from large data sets
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Metabase etc.). Metabase experience would be a plus
  • Ability to act as a consultant to help stakeholders create relevant KPIs and understand the meaning behind the data
  • Self-starter who is not afraid to dive into data for exploration and discovery
  • PREFERRED: Experience presenting insights to executive leadership
  • PREFERRED: Experience working on ETL processes and data modeling. DBT experience is highly preferred
